About Me

Hey! My name is Taylor Fankhanel. I am based in the teeny tiny hamlet of New Norway, Alberta. I haven't been here my whole life though. I was born in Calgary and brought up until grade 8 in good ole "Ktown" aka, Kindersley Saskatchewan. I have been living back in Alberta for over 15 years now. Although I love this beautiful province, my heart has always had a special love for west coast... Vancouver Island specifically. If you ever want to shoot there I am so your girl! Some fun facts about me is that I married my high school sweetheart (Ryan), my favourite colour is blue, favourite season is definitely fall, favourite holiday would be Christmas and I am a proud mama of my daughter, son and handsome fur baby (Joey).

I get asked sometimes, why photography? And for me it's an outlet where I get to be as creative as I want! There are no limits and there are always new things to learn in this industry and new people to meet along the way. But what I love MOST is that it gives me the ability to capture special moments in peoples lives that they get to cherish for a lifetime. Freezing the moment you said "I do" to your partner, celebrating your new baby, graduation, a proposal, or simply documenting your family over the years. If you ask my husband he'd tell you that I am obsessed with capturing all the moments in my life, so I absolutely love getting to do that for others.
